Fic in a Box - Dear Creator Letter
Alright. This year I am finally doing Fic in a Box as well. Let me start with the general wishes and so on.
When it comes to alternate forms of media compared to fanfiction: I am fine with any form of art for those characters and ships, just as I am fine with comics and such. What I am not fine with is stuff like GIFs or videos or such. That is just not interesting to me. Also, I am not interested in meta-texts of any sort.

Those generals out of the way: Here is the stuff about the fandoms.
Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 is were my brainworms currently lie. I love so many of the characters, and I do have a lot of ships for the fandom. My two mainships are both polyamorous - one includes my Tav and another OC, the other just canon characters. I also have several other ships.
Something that is important to me here: I do not like it, when I am forced to read about other people's Tavs and Durges. Especially I do not want to read about female ones, because I am trans male and because of that I just find female Tavs/Durges rather unpleasant to read about. So, if you cannot get around mentioning a Tav/Durge at some point, please either use the canon male dragonborn Durge, or a generic (trans) male Tav. Thanks.
I would love basically anything. Action, Drama, Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, Whump... It depends on the charaacter. Some ideas for the different characters/ships underneath.
Castlevania (Netflix)
Castlevania is my currently other longrunning obsession. Look, I was always a vampire fan and I loved my vampire fiction for a long while, and Castlevania was nice and gothic as it came along, and it is just fairly amazing.
Now, something I like about this show however is that despite it being this dark fantasy setting, the ending is very hopeful. So for the most part I love to read about. How the characters can turn all that misery into something positive in the end. I like this idea that something was learned from it - and yes, I also like the idea that there could be some alternate history happening.
My favorite setting post-canon is Styria. In my own headcanon it goes like this: There is another big danger, that basically forces all the surviving characters of the show (minus Dracula and Lisa) to work together. Afterwards Isaac explicitly asks Striga and Morana to return to Styria, because he has never gotten the right education to be able to run that country and realizes he needs help. And while the specific scenario of how Striga and Morana return to Styra could differ a lot, I absolutely love the idea of them returning and interacting with the two forgemasters and possible the night creatures.
Other than that I absolutely love the idea of domestic fluff with Trephacard or Gretrephacard.
Castlevania: Nocturne
Writing for CV:N is a lot harder than for the old show, because it is still ongoing. And while the next season might come out while this event is happening, it is of course hard to predict what is happening.
I love the fact that this show deals so much with history. Especially in regards to colonialism and how much harm it did to so many people. A lot of western media just fully ignores that kinda stuff and I hate this fact. So I love the idea here and how the characters interact with it.
Like many people however I am mostly obsessed with Mizrak and Olrox. Not only as a couple but also as characters on their own.
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical
Now, Stay Gods is not one of my Core fandoms, but out of all recent things related to Greek mythology this was my favorite. And yes, I will very much admit that this is mostly thanks to the fact that Persephone in this depiction is so bloody smokey hot.
I also do like the idea that a lot of media reduces Persephone into this "flower goddess", WHICH SHE IS NOT IN THE MYTHOLOGY!!! Her association with flowers and spring and stuff is because her mother allows spring to happen when Persephone leaves Hades. Not becuase Persephone does any of it. Jesus. And hence I loved the fact that here she was not depicted as that here, but had a lot more focus on her identity as queen of Hades.
Digimon Tamers
Digimon Tamers was by far my longest autistic hyperfixation. I obsessed about this show and its lore from the time it came out in Japan in April 2001, until like 2018 or something. Until Castlevania and BG3 it was also by far the fandom I have written most fanfics for. And the reason is really that I love so many interesting characters show up in this show, as well as so many other interesting ideas. I love this idea of a fantasy becoming reality, I love this stuff with the government being involved, and I love how abstract the digital world is.
Something I find totally underrated in the fandom is the adult characters. Yamaki is so interesting, and to this day I feel very proud of the fact that I picked up on Yamaki/Reika being a canon ship way, way before the show confirmed it. xD I generally also enjoy a lot of the adult characters in the show and their friendships and stuff.
Just honestly, anything with them would be welcome.
Arcane: League of Legends
I do have complicated feelings about Arcane for a variety of reasons. Some of the fans are quite hard to get along with, and there are most certainly things I would have done differently. Especially as I technically do prefer the Runeterra lore that was established prior to Arcane. However, there are certain characters in the show that I like and especially three characters that I do prefer in terms of the show-canon. And those are the ones I would love to read about.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
I love this movei so much. This movie was all I never knew I needed from a DnD movie. This movie was so wonderfully queer. The subtle queer vibes with Xenk and Ed, and the entire Found Family trope that the movie brings with it as well. It is so wonderful. I love every bit of it. It is just perfection.
Look, I love the world of the Forgotten Realms. It is an interesting world and I love the fact that again it is actually not a heteronormative world. And I would love just some adventure, or some found family fluff, or just some fluff with the two men. Either would be fine. :D
Blue Eye Samurai
I really enjoyed this show most of all for the representation of disabled characters, because, again, we rarely get that in a lot of media. Also this is a very interesting time in Japanese history (which also reminds me: Yes, I am a history geek, so research is something I care about). And of course there is the fact that you can easily read Mizu as a trans male character - which I do, given that I am trans male myself and we do not get a whole lot of representation. So yeah, that is stuff I would love to read about.
Other than that, I would also just take something that just goes into the history of the time. There is a lot happening in Japan right now. I would also take OCs there.
Final Fantasy XII
Okay, I love the world of Ivalice. This world has of course been established through a variety of the Final Fantasy Tactics titles, and I just love this world. I was so hyped for FFXII to come out back in the day because of this. And while I am not that interested in any of the canon characters from this game (well, okay, I love Balthier and Fran), but just some stuff about the world. Like, I would be perfectly fine with some OCs having some experiences in this world or something along those lines. It would be very alright. Have them explore some locations, interact with some of the deities and such.
Bonus points if those characters are queer ;)
Yuri!! On Ice
YoI was such a sweetness when it came out and I am still so sad, that there was no sequel and they cancelled the movie and I am very much not okay with this.
This show has so many nice characters in there. I love so many of them. They are quite chaotic, but they are sweet with one another. And I absolutely would just love to see them interact and be chaotic. I would love some sort of story where they are somewhere for either training or for a tournament, and do what they are doing in the show, with exploring the local markets, and eating food and stuff like that. Or just do a guided tour. Maybe some chaos ensueing and things like that.

I would love basically anything. Action, Drama, Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, Whump... It depends on the charaacter. Some ideas for the different characters/ships underneath.
- Astarion: I would love a story about Astarion before the story begins. Maybe him with his siblings. Maybe some story about his relationship to Cazador. Maybe an escape attempt. Maybe just some good old whump of this horrible man being tortured and crying a lot.
- Enver Gortash: Gortash is one of my favorite characters in this game. I would love anything with him. I would be super interested to read both about his time in the House of Hope, about his rise as a black market dealer, or about a possible future where he might get a chance to redeem himself (I will just ignore that there is no way that he can live in canon - he does in my head). Note also: I read him as an autistic person, who also has EDS.
- Halsin: Halsin is my favorite companion. He is such an amazing character. I love him. He is polyamorous and he wants a lot of kids and is a good daddy and... He is the perfect man. I will take anything with him. Pre-canon Halsin? Love it. Post-Canon Halsin taking care of the kids? Love it too. I would love to read about his time with the drow. I also would love some whump with him. Also would enjoy something about him trying to rebuild the grove.
- Araj Oblodra: Am I the only person who likes Araj? Maybe I am. But I love her. I think her story is fascinating. She is from the Hosue Oblodra, who got banished and mostly killed. She probably has actually quite a bit of trauma from this. She tries to become someone respected by the drow, but she has been living on the surface for probably a long while. There is a good chance if she actually returned she would be shocked about actual drow society. And I love that idea.
- Halsin & Tiefling Orphans: See Halsin. I love the idea of him adopting the tiefling orphans. Bonus points with Arabella as a chosen of Silvanus.
- Enver Gortash & Karlach: A pre-canon story for how the relationship between Gortash and Karlach was, would be super interesting, I will admit.
- Lae'zel/Shadowheart: Lae'zel/Shadowheart is my favorite ship with Shadowheart. Of course the good routes for them. So Lae'zel turns against Vlaakith, and Shadowheart is a Selunite. I love about this how bad Lae'zel is with feelings. She is so bad at admitting that she has feelings for someone and... Oh, the hurt/comfort, the angry sex. I love BDSM with the two of them, too.
- Nocturne/Shadowheart: Nocturne/Shadowheart is another ship I love a lot. Especially because Nocturne is trans. I prefer her to not be physcally transitioned or just using an illusion spell for it, because wish spells should be hard to obtain. Pre-canon would be nice, but I am also taking Post-Canon. Preferably there though with the background of a polycule.
- Karlach/Lae'zel/Nocturne/Shadowheart/Wyll: Let me talk quickly about my headcanon for these characters. In my playthrough Shadowheart killed her parents to be free, but gets still haunted by the Sharrans. However, in my headcanon Karlach also lives and remains in Faerûn (because I hate her canon). So, when Shadowheart leaves Baldur's Gate to be save from the Sharrans, Wyll and Karlach come with her to a) adventure and b) keep her save. Wyll and Karlach are already together, but Wyll is demisexual and Karlach has a much higher libido. Hence Wyll agrees after a bit that Karlach and Shadowheart can fuck. They do. After a bit they go rescue Nocturne from the Sharrans (long story), and then finally pick up a Lae'zel who has sided with Orpheus but has remained in Faerûn. With them I would take anything. Smut? Sure. Fluff? Sure. Hurt/Comfort? Sure. Just some adventure? Gimme!
- Cazador Szarr/Vellioth & Astarion/Cazador Szarr: No romance. Just hardcore whump and torture and control and all the toxicity. You wanna write rape? Yeah, I am fine with that. You want bloody torture? Just go ahead.
- Aurelia/Araj Oblodra: Okay, my absolute crackship. But man, I love the idea. See above: I love Araj. I find her interesting. And I just want her to date a vampire lady.
- Trevor Belmont: Trevor is such an underrated character in terms of Hurt/Comfort and whump. Like, he was a homeless kid from age 12 onwards and had to do what he needed to survive. He might have early on tried to fight monsters and nearly gotten killed. And I think there is a high likelihood he prostituted himself for a bit. Like a lot of people talk about Adrian's trauma, but man, I would love to both read some good whump with Trevor, or some hurt/comfort of him being triggered and his partners helping him deal with it.
- Striga: She is another favorite of mine. I absolutely read her as a trans woman and actually do not want to read about her as a cis woman. Because there is just too little trans representation otherwise. Which just again gives a lot of potential for hurt/comfort. But I also read her as very much the most "big sister" to ever big sister. Like, I tend to write her adopting everyone as siblings.
- Isaac Laforeze: Isaac is another super interesting character in this show :) I really appreciate what they did with him, in terms of making him a Sufi and making him queer (yes, he is canonically queer, this is both in the text and was confirmed by the VA). And I just think... He is super interesting. I would love to read about him trying to figure out how to be a king. Bonus points of brining in the historical problems with islamphobia.
- Hector: Hector is myy main blorbo in this fandom. I will say it again: I identify with no other fictional character as much as I do with Hector. His autism (you cannot convince me he is not autistic) and how easily he gets manipulated? Yeah, I see myself in this. And I just want more stories about him healing from his entire Lenore- and Carmilla-related trauma.
- Abel: Look. I am a monsterfucker. Abel is bloody hot. He is very much just a character design and a non-character, given he has no voicelines in either the games or the show. But I do in general like to read about the night creatures. I personally write him as mute for exactly that reason, and because I find the idea interesting of a monster having a "normal" disability. But yeah, I enjoy him.
- Hector/Isaac Laforeze: Isaactor is my OTP for this fandom. Mind you, I do not like the idea that the two of them get together directly after the end of the series. They both need some time to heal for a bit. But I like the idea of them being together and after a bit helping each other heal. I also absolutely do see them both doing some kinky sex. (Including some religious guilt on Isaac's parts?)
- Adrian Tepes/Trevor Belmont/Sypha Belnades: Trephacard and Gretrephacard are amazing ships. I usually attach Greta via Trevor and Sypha, not via Adrian though, becuase I personally read Greta as someone in her late 20s, while Adrian cannot be older than a teenager, even if he physically is a mid-20s character. But yeah, with them I prefer some good old hurt/comfort or some domestic fluff with them taking care of kids. Also, please: Use Adrian's given name. Because I do hope for this mess of a man that he can return to using that name, given how much trauma has to be associated with the name Alucard.
- Morana/Striga: This is a completely underrated ship, that we need more content for.them. But also, again: Please write Striga as a trans woman.
- Hector & Isaac Laforeze & Morana & Striga: Again, I love the idea of Striga and Morana returning to Styria. In my stuff Striga and Isaac actually get along perfectly after a few days, because they both are very idealistic people and can actually find common ground, while Morana, who in the show seems very dearly attached to Carmilla at least, holds Carmilla's death against the men. But Carmilla in the show is very abusive towards everyone, including her sisters. Which is something Striga and Morana have to heal from as well. And something about that would be really nice.
- WB: Any - I would love some stories that goes into some of the implications of a lot of the colonizers being vampires. Something that is so rife with symbolism. And it is so interesting!
- Olrox: Olrox is really the stand out character of this show. He is the most interesting character here with him being a vampire, but also one of the survivors of his culture. Now mind you, the Nahuatl are one of the most populous indigenous groups still around, but of course their traditional cities were still very much destroyed and all that. And I would love to read something about his backstory, especially with his former lover and stuff.
- Mizrak: While Olrox is probably the generally most interesting character, Mizrak is actually my personal favorite, because... I was raised in a very conservative catholic household and boy do I know catholic guilt about being queer. So, yeah... I absolutely get it. Also, an interesting bit for him, is that he is not white and still part of a colonizing organisation.
- Edouard: Edouard is just a sweet guy. He is so sweet. I love him so much. I love his relationship with Annette and I would love to know about his realationship with his unnamed boyfriend. I would also be interested in reading about him and some body horror about him being turned into a night creature.
- Richter Belmont & Maria Renard & Tera Mizrak: While I am not that interested in terms of Richter and shipping in any direction, but I love this adopted/found family dynamic he has with Tera and Maria. Some domestic stuff or some hurt/comfort would be super sweet.
- Mizrak/Olrox: And of course the Mizrox shipping. Look, I love them. I love them so much. They are both so complicated and dysfunctional and they need to leaarn to deal with their stuff, but they are also quite bad at all of that. This is also a ship where I would totally read a modern Urban Fantasy AU. But only as long as Mizrak remains a catholic who is not allowed to have sex (make him a priest or something) and Olrox is still a Nahuatl vampire. xD
- Persephone: Again, I love her as a character. I would love to read some stuff with her. It can be super messy. Have her break down. Have her deal badly with all her trauma. I love the fact that this story actually went with "Actually, Hades and Zeus were assholes. No, the kidnapping/rape of Persephone was not a case of 'uwu forbidden love'."
- Grace/Persephone: I would love some hurt/comfort with them. Be it because Persephone is traumatized because of it all, or be it because Grace has to deal with the fact that she is slowly loosing herself to the entitiy of Calliope. Like that is gonna be super traumatic, right?
- Calliope/Persephone: We do not see a lot of their relationship, but I also just think that their relationship was very dysfunctional. So I would love to read something about that, you know? How they struggle and stuff.
- WB: Any - I totally would dig some of the not seen gods from mytholgy here as well. Just general worldbuilding. Especially in regards of WWII and what happened back then. That would be super interesting to me.
- Yamaki Mitsuo: Yamaki was my favorite character even when I was a kid. I mean, he is one of the characters who really have an interesting redemption arc, especially as it is much more muted than the redemption arc of the kid characters within other Digimon seasons, who get these big redemption stories with big gestures and stuff. And I really find him so interesting, also in how far he might feel responsible for all the stuff that has happened. So, yeah... Super interesting.
- Ootori Reika: While there is little in terms of fics about Yamaki, there is nothing about Reika basically. And I find her so cool. Like she is super competend in terms of her abilities. And we know so little about her, other than how she is very disciplined. I would love to read more about her. Just...
- Ootori Reika/Yamaki Mitsuo: Given I love them so much, duh, I would love to read about their relationship. Be it pre-canon or post-canon. I don't really cae. Just let me read about them.
- Li Janyuu & Yamaki Mitsuo: Something I also love a lot is the friendship that develops between Yamaki and Janyuu over the narrative. And I would love to just have stories about them having an adult friendship, because that is another thing that people write too little about.
- Li Shaochung & Lopmon: Okay, in terms of the kids and their Digimon I love Shaochung, mostly because in my Digimon fanseries she was a main character and just have so many ideas about what she might do later on. I love the idea of an older Shaochung just getting into some trouble.
- Viktor: I love Viktor in the way that the show portrays him, because he is disabled and the number of disabled characters we get shown in media. And I love it. I would love to read about that. Just about him trying to deal with the fact he is disabled and has a fatal illness. I think he would no bother so much with the disability, but definitely with the fact that he will die soon.
- Ekko: Ekko is another character I really, really do love. Hei s very much a kid, but because he never got to really live like one. We do not know much about what happened to him during the timeskip. How did he get to be the leader of the firelights? But that would be something I would love to read about.
- Jayce/Viktor: A shipping I really love is Jayce and Viktor. Especially from Viktor's POV. There is so much Angst to be had here, because the two are so similar in one way (both briliant minds) and so different in the other (while Viktor is sick, Jayce is a freaking adonis). Something along those lines would be interesting. Some alternate timeline maybe for what happens in the timeskip.I would also take some dark timeline angst where Viktor is already the Machine Herald and Jayce has realized his feelings for him too late.
- Ekko/Jayce: I know, this one is pretty much a crack ship, given that they have not interacted in the series so far. But Ekko is the third guy in this show who is a genius, though one with less access to work with that. I kinda like this idea of Heimerdinger bringing him to the Academy and Jayce becoming his Mentor. Yes, it has a big, big age gap, but I still like it - and age gap also could be nice for angst or hurt/comfort.
- Jayce/Mel Medarda/Viktor: This one is simple: Yeah, I can very much see a happier timeline where the three end up in a V-relationship with Jayce as the hinge.
- Mel Medarda/Sevika: The one ship I really like with Mel... Her and Sevika. I do have an alternate timeline for this, in which Sevika instead of becoming Silco's bodyguard becomes Mel's bodyguard and one thing leads to another.
- Edgin Darvis/Xenk Yendar: The two of them just so strangely naturally fit together with one another, and I love ti so much. They kinda annoy each other, but one the other more than the other way around. I just love their banter, and I love what they could be to each other. Especially as Ed after being single for so long and being a single dad. And just... there is so much potential here.
- Edgin Darvis & Holga Kilgore: I love their friendship and brother/sister relationship. I love also how they coparent.
- Edgin Darvis & Kira Darvis: Look, we see so few single dads in media - and the two of them are so sweet together. It would be nice.
- Simon Aumar & Edgin Darvis & Kira Darvis & Doric & Holga Kilgore & Xenk Yendar: I absolutely also would take just a little adventure with the whole crew.
- Mizu & Ringo: I just love how Ringo is this one friend Mizu has who will stay by his side no matter what kinda bullshit Mizu does. Ringo cares about him deeply, and Mizu is just not used to have someone there who really does that. Who cares about him. And something along those lines - some hurt/comfort - would be super sweet.
- Akemi & Seki: I love this relationship, too. How Seki really is more Akemi's dad than Akemi's actual dad. Especially given how headstrong Akemi is.
- Akemi & Ringo: These two barely interact with each other in the show, but they really would work really well with one another.
Final Fantasy XII
Okay, I love the world of Ivalice. This world has of course been established through a variety of the Final Fantasy Tactics titles, and I just love this world. I was so hyped for FFXII to come out back in the day because of this.
- Katsuki Yuuri & Nishigori Yuuko: Yuuko did not get a lot of stuff in the fandom where she is a main character, but I love how wholesome her friendship is with Yuuri. Also, I would love a story where Yuuri has for some reason to babysit the triplets xD
- Phichit Chulanont & Katsuki Yuuri: Phichit is my favorite character in the entire show. He is such a sweetheart, and he has hamsters, and he deserves so much more love. And I would just love to read something about his and Yuuri's time training in the USA. :D
- Katsuki Yuuri/Victor Nikiforov & Yuri Plisetsky: Honestly... Go wild. I would love some Yuri Plisetski getting angry about the other two being lovey dovey.
- Katsuki Yuuri/Victor Nikiforov: Again, just go wild. Domestic fluff? Amazing. Hurt/Comfort? Great. Some smut? I will take it!
- Christophe Giocometti & Katsuki Yuuri: I love how Christophe and Victor are bullying Yuuri from time to time. That is something that is kinda sweet, too xD
- Katsuki Yuuri & Yuri Plisetsky: I would just love some Hurt/Comfort with the two of them.
